Nov, 2023

Amy Yang has returned to the ring after winning the CME Group Tour Championship. She also won the first-place prize of $2 million. Yang will not hit any shots. According to lpga.com, the five-time LPGA champion is caddying for Jennifer Song at LPGA Q-Series.

Yang, 34, played his last LPGA Q-School game in 2008. He agreed to return this year to assist Song, who placed 149th on CME’s points list which determines LPGA membership. The top 100 players on the CME list are granted full LPGA status every year.

The Robert Trent Jones Magnolia Grove Golf Course, in Mobile, Alabama, hosted the newly abbreviated LPGA Q-Series on Thursday. The event will conclude on December 5, despite the fact that it has been reduced from 144 to 108 golf holes.

Song is among 104 players competing over the Falls & Crossings course. After Round 4, the cut will be made to 65 or less and ties.

The top 20 players will receive a LPGA card, while those who finish among the top 45 or ties earn a status higher.
