The 96-man 2023 WM Phoenix Open Monday qualifier didn’t make it to a playoff, which must be considered a minor miracle.
Andre Metzger from Scottsdale won the round on the Pine Course. It was a bogey-free 65 with birdies on Nos. 14, 16, and 17.
Dalton Ward from Saint Simons Island in Georgia and Brett White from Houston shot 66 to tie for 2nd. White had eight birdies. Ward had six birdies and a bogey-free card.
Only the top three qualify and then there is a playoff.
The full interview with Andre Metzger will be posted when I have internet access, but I felt this was too important to not share it right away.
