The United States continued to struggle in Europe at the 2023 Ryder Cup, held at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club near Rome. They lost 16 1/2-11 1/2 to the Europeans.
After Sunday night, many of the players that took part in the biennial bash chose to stay in their hometowns for a couple days in order to enjoy the sights and spend time with family.
Justin Thomas, a member of this group, posted to on his Instagram a photo dump from a vacation he took with his wife Jillian at Lake Como.
One comment on the post was from European Ryder Cup winner Shane Lowry, who went 1-1-1 against the Italians. He asked a simple but important question: “Any pictures from Rome? ?”
JT, who had gone 1-2-1, replied by saying “Shane, it’s now been two weeks since I last remembered ……”
It’s likely that the trash-talk between the two teams at Bethpage Black will continue until 2025.
