Are golf lessons lasting an hour becoming outdated?

May, 2023

PGA golf professionals offer one-hour lessons at almost all golf courses and driving ranges.

Indoor golf simulators have become the latest high-tech tool for training. But could they replace the one-on-one lesson with a professional?

The simulators create a controlled environment, which eliminates external influences such as weather conditions and distractions. The simulators allow golfers to practice in a focused, uninterrupted manner. They can work on their specific skills and techniques with no distractions.

247 Indoor Golf, located in Stuart, Florida is a great example of how the company combines PGA instruction and advanced technology. Five simulators are available, as well as a putting green measuring 1,200 square feet with Puttview Technology. Lessons are also offered. A monthly membership that is affordable and could be equal to two one-hour golf lessons allows golfers to come and go as they please.

The 247 lesson model has a PGA pro roaming around to help students when needed. The student is given feedback and can then practice at their own pace, with a PGA pro nearby.

I make sure that happens every time someone comes in and asks for help to achieve results in their game. Every time someone asks me for help, I ensure that they get it.

Perfect practice is what makes you perfect. You will become frustrated if you repeat the same mistake for an hour. Golfers need time to embrace the changes.

Ore said, “Feedback helps us improve and we can do that indoors.” But what happens when it’s time to play outside in the elements? Working with a PGA pro at your local driving range and golf course can prepare you as well.

If golf is your hobby or you’re just an average golfer, you probably know that education can be costly and you may need to take many lessons in order to get the desired results.

This model has a harsh truth: golfers do not need to be monitored during every swing if they are working on small changes. It is important that the student takes time to absorb the information and then practice the swings with the new changes.

It is likely that after a few adjustments, the golfer will know what to adjust. However, it may take some time before they physically and mentally accept this change. Professionals are only able to repeat the same adjustment so many times in an hour.

There are many options for golfers, whether they are traditionalists or willing to mix the two styles together.
