DORAL, Fla. – With the team championship on the line, Bryson deChambeau hit a circus birdie at the final stretch of the 2023 LIV Golf Team Championship.
DeChambeau pushed the tee up and went to drive the 16th green, a short par-4. He somehow managed to hit it over “Birdie Shack”, the hospitality stand. It then crossed the No. The No. 2 green is located behind the 16th grandstand and green. The 30-year-old had to wait until the group at No. The 30-year-old was forced to wait for the group on No.
It took some math and a lot guesswork to determine the yardage. DeChambeau’s caddie told him 109 yards and he then hit a second shot within 25 feet completely blind to keep the title hopes of his struggling team alive.
DeChambeau then made the putt and sent a jolt through the crowd.
