Sebastian Munoz was three shots ahead after 36 holes of Rich Harvest Farms, but couldn’t keep the lead. He shot 2 over on Sunday’s final day.
Bryson deChambeau, on the other hand, went on an offensive, shooting nine birdies with only one bogey, to shoot a 8-under 63 and win the LIV Golf League for the second consecutive time this season. DeChambeau won the LIV Golf League by one shot, finishing 13 under par. Marc Leishman was second and Anirban lahiri third.
DeChambeau was the winner of the LIV Golf Greenbrier tournament in August after closing with and a final round 58. Cam Smith is the only other player with two victories in 2023. Talor Gooch is the leader of the circuit, with three victories.
LIV Golf Chicago is the 12th event on the schedule for 2023. Next up is LIV Golf Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from October 13-15. The LIV Golf Championship at Doral is the season finale, taking place Oct. 20-22.
