Bryson deChambeau surprises fans once again with a stunning body transformation

May, 2023

Bryson deChambeau is now known as a power-hitting golfer who has bulked up. But that wasn’t the case in the past. DeChambeau ranked 34th on the PGA Tour during the 2018-2019 golf season. Bryson had not been unsuccessful in his career up to that point. Before 2019, he had won two PGA Tour events, the John Deere and Memorial Tournaments.

He decided to gain 50 pounds after that season to increase his ball speed and distance. It worked. DeCheambeau became the longest hitter in the Tour with an average of 323.7 yards from the tee, leading the PGA Tour during the 2020-2021 Season. He used his distance advantage in 2020 to decimate the U.S. Open field at Winged Foot. This is one of golf’s toughest courses.

Adding 50 pounds was not without its downsides. Bryson revealed that the weight gain had many negative effects when he appeared on “The 5 Clubs Podcast”.

He said that he had “such huge mood swings” from the treatment. His face was thinner and his body is now free of inflammation. “I look 20 again and not 35.”

He said, “I ate foods that weren’t great for my body that I was sensitive to. Eventually it got to the stage where it was just a bit too much.” “I had been eating badly for almost a whole year and a quarter. I felt weird and my gut was messed up. I decided to go on a Whole-30 Diet and get a nutritionist. I was extremely inflamed.”

He also started to see a decline in his performance on the course. DeChambeau’s performance on LIV has been poor. His last professional victory was in March 2021, at The Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Bryson made an effort over the last year to get into shape. Bryson claimed to have lost 20 pounds before the season began. However, in an Instagram post recently, it seems he has lost more.

Bryson finished T19 at the LIV Golf in Singapore.

It will be fascinating to see if a move towards a more healthy body type can help the star’s career.
