Accurate distance measurements are crucial when it comes to golf. They help you make the best club and shot choices. The Tour V6 Shift is the latest laser rangefinder from Bushnell, one of the most renowned names in the industry.
features improved optics, with 6X magnifying power to make the objects in the viewfinder more clear and detailed. It has a range of five to 1,300 yard with an accuracy of one yard. This device is able to provide accurate yardages for even the longest par 5.
The Tour V6’s PinSeeker, which uses JOLT Technology, vibrates in your hand as soon as the flag is detected. Press the button at the top, look through the Viewfinder and move the device slowly to the side. This is a great way to ensure that you’re measuring the flag, and not trees or other objects behind it.
The V6 Shift also has an updated slope algorithms that automatically adjusts the distances according to elevation changes. This feature is particularly helpful for golfers who play on hilly courses as it compensates for uphill or downhill shots. The Slope feature can be turned off in tournament play by sliding the button forward on the side unit.
Bushnell V6 Shift is equipped with Bushnell BITE magnets on one side, so that you can attach the rangefinder to your golf cart. It’s also the most water resistant laser rangefinder Bushnell has made.
It is not possible to connect the V6 Shift to your smartphone, like the Bushnell ProX3. This means that it cannot take into account temperature or barometric pressure when calculating slope and “plays-like” distances. The Pro X3 offers a red or black display option, which is more useful in certain conditions. The V6 shift feels lighter in the hand and therefore JOLT vibrations are stronger. It costs $200 less.
