Who they’re for: For golfers who want more forgiveness and distance with a hybrid fairway wood-style.
Callaway uses a new shape to lower center of gravity in Paradym hybrids. This makes it easier to hit soft-landing, high-flying shots.
Deep Dive: Callaway offers two new hybrids to complement the Paradym drivers, fairway woods and Paradym X.
These clubs are long-iron substitutes for fairway wood-style hybrids. They have rounded faces and toe areas.
Golfers will notice three seams on the soles of the Paradym X and Paradym X. Callaway refers this as a Cutwave Sole. It is designed to allow Paradym hybrids to skim through the rough and turf to maintain their speed through the hitting zone.
A Tungsten Speed Cartridge, a large weight of tungsten with a gold toned right behind the leading edge, will be visible to golfers. This area can be enlarged to increase the center of gravity and reduce spin.
The updated Jailbreak with Batwing system is what golfers don’t see. The adjustable hosel stiffens your heel at impact. A triangular piece made of steel connects the crown, bottom, and heel areas of the club. Callaway stated that stiffening the Paradym Hybrids in the front area of the heel and toe will increase ball speed and distance by redirecting energy from the impact of the head.
Paradym’s standard Paradym hybrid can be ordered with lofts of 18, 21, 24, and 27 degrees. The Paradym X has a smaller head and a shorter blade length. This makes it more appealing to golfers with lower handicaps. Paradym X comes in larger lofts, including 18 (3), 21 (4) and 24 (5). It also has 37 (6), 38 (6), and 30 (7) degree lofts.
