Cameron Champ had a good reason to withdraw from the 3M Open, at TPC Twin Cities. He did this Thursday morning just before his afternoon tee-time. Champ and Jessica Birdsong welcomed their son, their first, on Sunday evening.

The three-time PGA Tour champion was planning to travel to Minneapolis either on Thursday morning or Wednesday night, but chose to stay home.
Chris Stroud has replaced Champ on the field.
Champ, who won the 3M Open 2021, needed to have a good week as is 136th on the FedEx Cup standings . The playoffs begin in two weeks.
He has to look after a new trophy that he brought home.
