Cameron Smith is making the most out of his trip to Australia, which is the first time he has been back in three years.
On Friday, the third-ranked golfer in world shot a round of 6-under 65 at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland Golf Club. This put him in solo second position at 9 under through 36 holes at one the most prestigious golf events down Under. Jason Scrivener leads Smith by one shot heading into the third round.
Scrivener, tied for the lead in the first round, shot 67 Friday to take the lead.
Scrivener stated, “Yesterday it wasn’t stressful and I hit the ball tee-to green really well.” “Today was a bit more difficult, but we managed to get away with some things and still did well. It was all in all, quite happy with it.
Cameron John and Masahiro Kawmura are tied for third at 8 Under.
