Cameron Smith says, “That is as bad a game as I’ve ever played in a long while.” Cameron Smith gets a ‘rubbish start’ at ISPS Handa Australian Open

Dec, 2022

Cameron Smith was determined to be the first Australian to win both the Australian Open and the British Open simultaneously. He started off with a “rubbish” start at his national open on Thursday.

“That’s the worst round I’ve ever played in a while.” Smith said that Smith’s 1-over 71 at Victoria Golf Club was “pretty (expletive).” “I thought the course was quite difficult. The conditions were very difficult. But I have to do better.”

The world No. The world No. 3 won the Australian PGA Championship last week . He was congratulated by his friends at a local bar.

“Maybe some delayed tiredness. Smith said that he did sometimes feel foggy, but it wasn’t an excuse. It’s my job to do all that stuff.

“It’s not that I don’t know how golf is played, it was just a bad day.”

This unique event takes place over two courses, Victoria and Kingston Heath golf club. It is simultaneously running both men’s & women’s tournaments with each offering $1.15 million in prize money. The all-abilities division will also be included in this year’s event, which will start play on Friday.

David Micheluzzi shot a 7 under 63 at Victoria on Thursday to lead the men’s team. Grace Kim is in front of the women, having shot a 7 under 66 at Kingston Heath (the ladies are playing the course at par 73 in the first round).
