ORLANDO – Bernhard Langer, his son Jason and their team entered the final round at the PNC Championship trailing three strokes. They ended up winning the tournament by two strokes after a final round 59.
David Duval, the runner-up, said: “That’s just steamrolling them.”
The Langers finished with a score of 25 in the scramble for two. Bernhard has won five titles at the PNC, twice with his oldest son Stefan (2005, 2006), and now three times, with his youngest, Jason (2014. 2019, 2023).
Bernhard said that it was “very special” to have all of his four children compete in the PNC. It’s special to be here, regardless of whether you win. There are only 20 teams, and 25 more waiting to join.
The teams of the family-oriented event were not deterred by the rain and the wind gusting at more than 30mph. Tiger Woods, Charlie Woods, and their son Charlie were back in the event for a 4th consecutive year. Many fans braved bad weather to see them.
