The Captains, who leapfrogged from No. The Captains, who jumped from No. 5 in the Oct.28 poll, received all nine first place votes and 413 points for the first No. 1 ranking in 2022-23.
Five first-place votes for Emory, Methodist (one vote), Wittenberg (1 vote), and Piedmont complete the top 5. Redlands, Illinois Wesleyan, Carnegie Mellon and Washington & Lee round out the top 10.
Saint John’s (MN), which rose from No. 20 to No. 1, was one of the biggest movers for Christopher Newport. 20 to No. 16, and Sewanee, (No. 18, and Sewanee (No. 22).
