The Skinny Designed for Aerojet drivers and fairwaywoods, the Aerojet’s internal weight optimizes the center of gravity to increase ball speed and distance.

The Deep Dive Most recreational golfers desire everything from their hybrids. This includes distance, forgiveness, versatility, and all the other benefits that long irons don’t offer. It would also be nice to have some iron-style versatility. Cobra’s Aerojet hybrids are designed to deliver these things in a variety of lofts.

Aerojet hybrids have a classic look and address position. They are a fairway-wood-style club with an unique internal weighting system. Cobra calls the PWR Bridge a steel bar that runs from behind the eyes to the heel to the toe. The bar weighs 75g and lowers the center point of gravity. It pulls it forward and helps increase ball speed.

Cobra also designed Aerojet hybrids that feature a PWRShell stainless steel face. Cobra engineers used artificial intelligence to create 15 zones in the hitting zone. The computer then ran simulations to determine how thick or thin each area should be in order to maximize ball speed, not just in the center but also around the perimeter. This results in more distance with your best shots, and better ball-speed protection when mis-hitting. The L-shape of the face wraps underneath the leading edge and allows the face to flex more effectively on thin shots.

Cobra offers one-length Aerojet hybrids in addition to the variable length Aerojets. They are the same length as the 7-iron (7.25 inches). The clubs are shorter than traditional-length hybrids. However, golfers often find that they have better contact with shorter clubs.
