Tiger Christensen is a junior golfer at Arizona who has also made a name in the world of golf.

Christensen from Germany won his third college championship, taking home the medalist award at Trinity Forest Golf Club’s third annual Jackson T. Stephens Cup on Tuesday. He finished the tournament at 19-under-197 after shooting 8-under-64 in the final round. He credits some tweaks he made to his driver before the event. In the three rounds, he missed 42 of them.

Christensen stated, “I was pretty confident going into this tournament.” “I missed four fairways in qualifying over three rounds. “But to miss only 2 fairways over 54 holes is pretty impressive.”

Christensen said that he felt comfortable on the greens throughout the week. He attributed this to a new drill he used in his warm-up prior to the tournament. He did not make a single three-putt during the week and couldn’t recall when he last played 54 holes without making a three-putt.

Cole Anderson of Florida State finished with a score of 14-under-202. Zach Pollo of Arizona and Connor Gaunt, a LSU student, tied for third place at 13-under.

Christensen, however, was more important in that he helped Arizona reach the match-play final on Wednesday. The Wildcats, led by Anderson, will compete against the Seminoles and Anderson for the team championship.

Christensen is a big fan of Big Cat.

He said, “I find it pretty cool.” “I don’t think it affects me at all. I think it’s cool. “I’d never choose a name other than mine.”

SMU and LSU are scheduled to play Wednesday in the third place match. SMU plays at Trinity Forest.

On the women’s team, however, there has not yet been a medalist crowned.

Adela Cernousek of Texas A&M made a bogey on the last hole after three-putting. She now has a score of 11-under-205. Lauren Kim of Texas birdied her last two holes, tying Cernousek on 11-under and forcing a play-off for the individual title.

Both players made par at the par-4 18th hole and par-4 1st hole. Kim’s tee-shot on the par-3 18th was about 3 feet, while Cernousek only had 15 feet to make a birdie.

Kim’s putt was missed by Cernousek in the darkness. Both players have made their par putts and the playoff will continue at 10 am. ET on the thirteenth hole.

Texas and Wake Forest are tied after stroke play at 23-under-841 and will play in the final match on Wednesday.

The Golf Channel will broadcast the match play from 4-7 pm ET on Wednesday. ET on Wednesday.
