Ryan Hybl, OU’s coach, said: “This still feels as if it is the first time. It’s so special.” It’s amazing that we have won three out of the five Big 12 Championships. This one was special, because we were able to take our time on the back nine with the lead. Overall, I am really proud of my guys for their hard work and determination. “This place is very difficult, and to shoot below par in four rounds at Prairie Dunes with five guys over four days is truly special.”

Ludvig berg, Texas Tech’s golfer, won the individual title with a score of 15-under par. The OSU’s Jonas Baumgartner was next (-7), followed by Texas’ Brian Stark (6), OU Patrick Welch (2-2) and OU Drew Goodman (E).

The Jimmie Austin OU golf club in Norman will host a NCAA regional from May 15-17. The top five teams from the regional will move on to the NCAA Championship, which is held at Grayhawk Golf Club Scottsdale in Arizona.

Hybl said, “The future looks bright.” When I think of all the people who have contributed – our Chip in Club members, former players and our coaching staffs over the years, it’s really been special. There are many opportunities to grow in the future, but it all comes down to how hard our players work and want to do it. They are not afraid of the work, and that is why they are champions.”

The NCAA announced that OU women’s Golfer Mikhaela Foruna has been selected to compete as an individual at the NCAA Athens Regional, May 8-10, at UGA Golf Course.

The Oklahoma State women’s golf team, No. 22, will compete as the fourth-seed at the NCAA San Antonio Regional at TPC San Antonio from May 8-10. The No. 22 Oklahoma State women’s golf team will compete at the NCAA San Antonio Regional as the fourth seed at TPC San Antonio on May 8-10.
