Good morning golf fans! Team Singh was the victor at a highly entertaining PNC Championship.

1. Team Singh wins the PNC

Adam Woodard for Golfweek…”Three-time major champion Vijay Singh and son, Qass, started off hot and finished strong on Sunday to claim the 2022 PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando. Singh and Qass made birdies on seven of the first seven holes, with two more on No. 2. 12, 13 and 14 were the last two holes, before the team tied for 24 under with an eagle at the par-5 14. The Singhs held a solo lead of 25 under with a birdie on 16th, while another on 18th gave them a lead of 26 under. To become the first PNC team to shoot two rounds under 60, the Singhs shot 59-59.

2. Team Woods …?

Brentley Romine Team Woods (Golf Channel) finished six back and tied eighth.

  • Tiger stated, “Charlie and me, we played great yesterday.” “And today, we were both walking penguins out here. It was all fine, however.
  • Tiger and Charlie posted a 59 on their first day, but only seven birdies and one eagle were recorded by the pair. They also bogeyed Nos. 7, 17 and 17 in scramble.

3. Rozner wins Mauritius Open

AP report …”French Golfer Antoine Rozner scored a spectacular run on Sunday’s front nine to win the Mauritius Open, five shots ahead of the winner. He also became a three-time European Tour Champion.

  • “Rozner, who began the final round with an advantage of two shots, increased his lead to five by carding an eagle, three birdies, and a par over the first nine holes.”

4. Daly to undergo knee replacement surgery

Charlie Woods and Adam Schupak Tiger from Golfweek aren’t the only ones who have been unable to complete this week’s PNC Championship.

  • John Daly, a former major champion, announced Wednesday that he will be having left-knee replacement surgery. Daly, 56, has had his right knee replaced with osteoarthritis three years back.
  • Daly stated to pgatour.com that it was difficult when there is no follow-through. “I’m trying to keep one leg straight. I’ll get through it if I have the adrenaline from playing with my son.”

5. Report: LIV COO resigns

ESPN news report …” The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers executive who was hired as chief operating officer for LIV Golf, has resigned. This is after a year of the Saudi-backed rival circuit moving towards a league format. Sources confirmed this to ESPN’s Mark Schlabach.

  • “The New York Times first reported the news.”
  • “Atul Khosla was to lead LIV golf into its franchise model of 12 four man teams, in which players as well as the LIV League would have equity.”

6. Charlie Woods’ NIL numbers

Jim Gorant for Sportico Next fall Charlie should start high school. This is a place that is still grappling with NIL money and could help jumpstart his asset accumulation. Sam Weber, senior director of communications at Opendorse (an NIL platform), said that Charlie is “in rare air” because of his name recognition. “He is similar to Arch Manning and Bronny James, as well as Shaquille Ol’Neal’s sons.”

  • “How does that kind of family legacy translate into cold hard NIL cash?” Weber stated that Tiger is likely to be looking at seven figures once he becomes eligible. He also said that it was “surprising” that brands that have played a prominent role in Tiger’s life would not like to join the fold. It’s almost possible to see the Nike commercial featuring the two of them.

7. Bubba: LIV delay due to fear of criticism

Michael McEwan, Bunkered Bubba Watson, has admitted that he was afraid of what others might think about him and he hesitated to join LIV Golf.

  • The American stated that it was easy to create a fake social media account and post what you want. There are no consequences. “Nobody gets into trouble, and that’s really disappointing to see.
  • “That’s what I was experiencing when I signed the paper. I was worried about what other people would think of me. However, I can tell you that nobody has ever said anything negative to me.

8. Berkshire breaks the ball speed record

Matt Cradock, Golf Monthly Kyle Berkshire is undoubtedly the longest golfer we’ve ever seen. The American is a two-time Long Drive World Champion as well as the owner of many World Records in the pursuit of speed and distance.

  • Berkshire’s frightening speed of 236.2 mph was a record for the 26-year old. That is correct, it’s 236.2mph!
