Danielle Kang, a golfer from CASERAS (Spain), went from owning zero sets to two sets for the 2023 Solheim Cup.
The 30-year-old didn’t bring her clubs to Finca Cortesin, on Spain’s south coast. But on Tuesday, she explained that her putter had made it because she packed it separately in an rifle case.
Stacy Lewis, the U.S. captain, announced on Wednesday morning that Kang had received two sets of clubs. She is scheduled to make her fourth appearance this week for the Americans.

Kang uses Titleist clubs. However, the Ping staff assembled a set of Ping clubs for her so that she could participate in the morning practice session. Titleist sent a second set of clubs that was due to arrive on Tuesday evening.
Kang, who is a renowned club designer, took her idea to Scotty Cameron, and watched with excitement as it came to fruition. Together, they created three different molds.
Kang said on Tuesday that he travels with his putter in a rifle-case because it is a different type of putter and we do not have a bending machine to bend it. It also bends quite a bit during travel. I travel with it separately as I do not have the resources to have my putter checked each week. And yes, clubs can get bent in the air and yes, it does matter.
Kang is ranked second in the world in terms of putts made per green. Cameron inscribed “DK Special’ on the bottom of this one-of-a kind creation.
