Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to be the captains of LIV golf franchises?
LIV Golf, in the run-up to the framework deal between the PGA Tour & Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), proposed a plan that would give Woods & McIlroy LIV Golf Franchises allowing them to compete at up to 10 events.
In a hearing of a Senate Subcommittee, Jimmy Dunne, Ron Price, and other PGA Tour representatives were present. Those documents showed plans that were ultimately rejected by PGA Tour during the negotiations to have Woods and McIlroy be a part LIV Golf League.
The “World Golf Series”, a global series, was also announced. It would culminate in Saudi Arabia with a team competition. Saudi Arabian representatives presented a slideshow titled “The Best of Both Worlds” on April 26. The presentation included a proposal of Woods’ and McIlroy’s involvement with LIV. According to documents, both sides changed language in the following month that would have terminated both Greg Norman, and Performance54, a golf management company which helps run LIV from all operations.
It was suggested that:
Tiger and Rory each would own LIV teams. They’d both play 10 LIV events.

It’s unclear if any of these proposals will be taken into consideration in the future.
