LIV Golf returns to Trump National Doral

Donald Trump announced on Friday, Truth Social, his social media platform, that LIV Golf will return to Doral, Florida, in April. LIV had planned to avoid Trump’s properties, and didn’t list any Trump golf courses in its original schedule.

The event was scheduled for April 5-7 – the week prior to the Masters – and Florida was the preferred location. The first two years, the LIV season-finale championship team was held at Doral. In 2024, the event will take place in Dallas.

“TRUMP NATIONAL, DORAL in Miami has just signed a contract with LIV GOLF for a Championship Tournament to be held in April 2024. The event at Doral was a huge success!” posted the former president, who is a Palm Beach resident.

A LIV Golf representative confirmed to Golfweek that LIV Golf would be returning to Doral, Miami in 2024. We look forward to sharing the full schedule and other details very soon.

The Saudi-backed League will not return to Trump National Bedminster where it held tournaments in each of its two first seasons. It also won’t be returning in 2023 to Trump’s course in Washington D.C. where they played a tourney.

El Camaleon Golf Course, Mayakoba in Mexico, will open the season for the second consecutive year. This event will take place from Feb. 2-4.

The first US tournament will take place at the Las Vegas Country Club, in Las Vegas. This is where the NFL Championship Game will be played. LIV’s 54 hole events usually run from Friday to Sunday, but this week it will be from Thursday to Saturday.

Houston (June 7 – 9), Nashville (June 22 – 23) and Greenbrier, West Virginia (Aug 16 -18), were also U.S. locations.
