Until the dispute between LIV golf and the DP World Tour can be settled in court, tensions will continue to plague the range at all events this season.
Exhibit A: Henrik Stenson lost the European Ryder Cup captain position after he joined the Saudi-backed LIV Series. He will be paired up with Tyrrell Hatton and Luke Donald, the man who succeeded Stenson as captain on Sunday in the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.
Through two days and eight back of Thomas Pieters Richard Bland, Michael Thorbjornsen and Thomas Pieters, all three players are under 2.

Thorbjornsen is a Stanford junior and a native of Massachusetts. He was an Golfweek 2222 All-American honorable note. Thorbjornsen was fourth at the ’22 Travelers Championship, a PGA Tour event that was played just down the road from his home.
Rory McIlroy wasn’t at his best Saturday. He made 15 pars and one birdie to finish a day 2 under 70. He is tied for seventh place, two behind the lead.

Patrick Reed is 8 under, a player who has been the talk of the town this week due to his viral moment with McIlroy. The DP World Tour decided not to pair the Ryder Cup rivals together in the third round.
This was a disappointing decision for the majority of the golf community.
Play will be completed Monday in Dubai due to weather delays.
