They are for: The G430 Max model is the most stable and most flexible of all the new offerings. However, the SFT version has the greatest draw bias to assist slicers. The LST model produces the lowest spin and ball flight.
The Skinny: Ping believes the G430 driver’s adjustability and fit options should enable nearly anyone to find a club with greater distance and more forgiveness. This is due to the updated face design, internal rib structures, adjustable hosel, and moveable weights.
The Deep Dive: Ping released G425 drivers in January 2021. Pros such as Viktor Hovland, Tony Finau and others quickly moved into the new clubs. Ping released the G430 drivers to professional golfers last fall after the 2021-22 PGA Tour season ended. This was at the Shriners Children’s Open, Las Vegas. Although the three new drivers, the G430 Max Max, LST, and SFT, were made for different types of players but share some common technologies.
