Novak Djokovic, a tennis star, was unable to compete at the U.S. Open last year for the same reason.

The U.S. government increased its COVID-19 restrictions in January. This requires international visitors to be fully immunized against the virus. Kruger stated to Golfweek that while they are still working on obtaining a pass for certain circumstances, they don’t see things opening up until at most early May. The Chevron is scheduled for April 20-23.
