Dustin Johnson’s bag did not disappoint. DJ used to use a Scotty Cameron blade, but we’ve seen him this week with a T5.5 mallet. The T5.5 has a similar design to the Phantom X T5.5 mallet that is available in stores. It features a 303-stainless steel body with an aluminum sole plate and two interchangeable weights.
The topline of DJ’s T5.5 is marked by a single-site line and a small milled slant. The flange, which is made of aluminum and anodized in black, is held by four hex screws. The 10g sole weights have a red Circle T logo in the middle. The face has a deep milling pattern to give it a soft feel and muted tone. A red cherry bomb is in the heel, and Dustin’s initials are on the toe.
The putter comes with a SuperStroke pistol 1.0 Zenergy grip and an LA Golf P-Series-SOHO Graphite Putter Shaft that has been engineered to fit over the post of the hosel.
