Augusta National is back in video games.
EA Sports PGA Tour launches on all platforms March 24, bringing EA Sports back to the world of golf video games. Rory McIlroy PGA Tour was the last EA Sports golf title to launch in 2015.
EA Sports released a trailer on Thursday showing the new elements of the game. EA Sports PGA Tour is the exclusive home for all four majors men’s, including the Masters.
The Masters, PGA Championship and U.S Open will all be open to players at a variety of host courses, including all 2021 venues. At a later date, the 2023 versions will be available. Players can also compete in the top amateur championships, including the Augusta National Women’s Amateur (the U.S. Amateur and other elite international amateur events. The LPGA’s Amundi Evian Championship is also open to players

EA Sports PGA Tour will have additional content during the 2023 PGA Tour or LPGA seasons.
Cam Weber, EA Sports’ EVP/GM, stated in a statement that the PGA Tour is bringing the best experience to players all over the globe. “We have real-world data which powers incredibly realistic gameplay and renders some of the most famous courses in the world in meticulous detail. We’re offering players the opportunity to play in unforgettable golf experiences, from The Old Course at St Andrews Links through to Pebble Beach Golf Links.
All three FedEx Cup Playoffs events, including the Players Championship, will be available in the game. The FedEx Cup will be awarded to the FedEx Cup’s top players at the end the year as part of the career mode.
You can create your own golfer or customize one already created. Players can choose from 20 shot types as they progress through the game. This allows them to improve their driving, approach, short-game, and putting skills, depending on what their preferences are.

In the revamped Create-A Player feature, players can play as multiple female athletes to create a female player. You can take part in LPGA-themed challenges or events. Iona Stephen joins EA’s commentary team as the first female in-game commentator. She brings her experience from both professional golf and broadcasting.
ShotLink and TrackMan data are also included to provide accurate ranking of players’ skills.
EA Sports PGA Tour pre-orders are now available. The standard edition will cost $69.99 and the deluxe edition $84.99. This gives players access many add-ons like three-day early game access and Augusta National, Players Championship gear and the Grand Slam gear bundle.

EA Play members will also be able to access the game early, beginning with a 10-hour trial on March 21. EA Play Pro members have unlimited access to the deluxe edition, as well as an exclusive EA Staff Bag. This will be available starting March 21. EA Play members can also unlock bonuses for EA Sports PGA Tour. These include monthly drops of exclusive pro shop perks like headcovers, shirts and more.
EA Sports PGA Tour is now available for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 (EA App. Steam. Epic Games Store).
