Playing well on the PGA Tour pays off. Viktor Hovland , this week’s victor.
The 25-year old shot a 7 under 63 on the Sunday at East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta. He also won the FedEx Cup with 27 under.
Hovland’s efforts will see him walk away with a top prize of 18 million dollars from the $75 million season-ending tournament, while Xander Schnauffele will receive a consolation prize of $6.5 million for finishing runner up at 22 under.
Eight players have earned more than $1,000,000 from the event this week, including Wyndham McIlroy, who finished third (16 under), Rory McIlroy, fourth (14 below, $4 million), and Patrick Cantlay, fifth (13 below, $3 million). Collin Morikawa and Tommy Fleetwood each received $2 million after finishing T-6 with 11 under, 16 shots behind.
