Erik van Rooyen wins the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship after making an eagle at the final hole

Six players were within 3 shots of the leader down the stretch Sunday, setting up an exciting finish on Tiger’s track.

Erik van Rooyen won the 2023 World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos. The 33-year old finished 27-under after shooting a final round 9-under-63, thanks to an eagle at the final hole.

This is his second PGA Tour win. He won the Barracuda Championship in 2021, a tournament with a Modified Stableford format. Van Rooyen made 28 starts in the 2018 season, and missed more cuts (14) than he made (13). Van Rooyen had only finished in the top 10 three times. The last was a T-6 finish at the Barracuda Championship, which took place in July.
