The Texan was four over on 15 and made a long birdie attempt on 16th. He was able to relax beside the cup.
The next thing that happened was quite shocking. Spieth tried to backhand the 16 inch putt into the hole but the ball slipped by and cost him another stroke.

Spieth fans who follow the Twitter account Spieth Legion, which tracks the 3-time major champ’s every shot, weren’t impressed, as you might imagine.
Spieth, at 29 years old, was able to rally a bit, draining a 20 footer on the last to complete his round at four over par.
After a round that saw him only 10 shots behind the leaders, Spieth still showed class and signed autographs for his fans.
