Sergio Garcia has secured a place in the 2023 major after advancing to the final qualifying round in Dallas .
At Northwood Club and Bent Tree Country Club, 120 golfers competed for eight spots. Garcia tied for fourth place after finishing the 36-hole qualifying round at 9 under par. He capped his day by birdieing his final hole.
Garcia was one of close to 20 LIV players who entered qualifiers to qualify for the 156-man Los Angeles Country Club field.
Carson Young, who shot scores of 63 & 62 in the Dallas qualifier, won at 16 under.

Austin Eckroat came in second with 11 under. Graeme McDowell, the 2010 U.S. Open champion and LIV golfer who was also a winner, came in second at 11 under.
The U.S. Open 2023 will be held from June 15-18.
