Five players have reached No. This season’s No. 1 sets new LPGA records

The women’s golf professional has had a very exciting year. Five different women were ranked at No. 1 for the first time ever in the history (which goes back to 2006) of the Rolex Rankings. In a single calendar year, five different women have been ranked No.

Ruoning Yun, the Chinese player who has won twice in this tour, rose to number one on September 11. For the first time, Ruoning Yin of China became No. Four different players held No. 1 in 2022 and 2017. The previous record was held by four different players in 2022 and 2017.

Yin, a Chinese player, became the third player in history to achieve No. Atthaya Thittikul, who will be 20 years old in October 2022, and Lydia Ko, who was 18 years 6 months 2 days and 9 months in February 2015, are the only other players to have reached No.

Lilia Vu has won two majors in this season. However, Yin’s consistency enabled her to surpass the young American following a strong weekend finish in Cincinnati. Yin was ranked 193rd on the world rankings a year ago.
