All four matches tied at one point on the 17th or later hole.

Yuxin Lin defeated Georgia Tech’s Christo Lambert quickly. Lamprecht’s approach shot to 30 feet at the par-4 15th was three-putted. Lin, however, managed to make it up and down from the greenside rough on the right to win the match 4 and 3.

John DuBois then won his match at the 18th, giving the Gators their second point. He was able to take advantage of Connor Howe missing his approach shot on the last hole.

Georgia Tech gained a point after Bartley Forrester beat Matthew Kress at the 20th-hole.

Florida’s clinching moment came when Fred Biondi beat Hiroshi Tai 1 to 0 two days after Biondi had won the individual title.

The Gators were the first team to reach the match play portion. This is the school’s fifth national championship and its first since 2001.

This is also the first men’s team to win the national championship and have an individual winner since Oregon in 2016 and Aaron Wise.
