PEBBLE BEACH (California) – During Allisen Corporation’s winning press conference for the 78th U.S. Women’s Open she received a congratulatory message from another Punahou School graduate.
Former President Barack Obama tweeted: “Congratulations on the win of fellow Hawaiian Allisen Corporationuz in the U.S. Women’s Open!” “You make us proud and we look forward to playing at Kapolei!”
Corpuz finished with a 3-under-69, becoming the first female to win a major on Pebble Beach Golf Links. She beat England’s Charley Hull as well as former No. Jiyai Shim by three strokes.
Congratulations to Allisen Corporationz, a fellow Hawaiian who won the U.S. Women’s Open. We are all very proud of you — and we look forward to playing with you in Kapolei.

The 25-year old USC graduate grew up in the area on Oahu’s Kapolei Golf Course, on the left-hand side of the 7th hole. Michelle Wie West, a Punahou School grad and 2014 U.S. Women’s Open champ, ended her competitive career at Pebble Beach earlier this week.
Corpuz said, “Yeah Barack and Michelle are two Punahou alumni that I hear about most.” “I mean, I think he has done a lot of things in his career.” “That’s pretty special.”
