The first LIV Golf Promotions tournament is now set.
Three spots will be available for the inaugural event, which will take place at Abu Dhabi Golf Club on Dec. 8-10. The field is expected to include 73 players. Three players from the top three finishers of this four-round, three-day event will be selected to join a LIV Golf League squad for the first tournament of the season, which is scheduled at LIV Golf, Mayakoba, Mexico on February 2-4, 2024.
The first round will be held on Dec. 8. Fifty-nine participants will compete, and the top twenty and any ties will move onto the second round where the scores will be reset. In the second round, 14 players are exempt. After 36 holes, the top 20 players will be cut again. The scores will be reset once more and the 20 players who are in the lead will compete over 36 holes for the top 3 on the final day. The top 10 players will be exempt from all 2024 events on the International Series sanctioned by the Asian Tour. Players who finish Nos.
All four players who have been relegated from the LIV Golf 2023 season, Sihwan, Kim, Chase Koepka and James Piot, are on the field, and will automatically advance to the second round.

The field is dominated by Jason Dufner (2013 PGA Championship winner), former Ryder Cup players Victor Dubuisson, Jeff Overton and Max Kennedy. Also in the field, are Ryan Griffin, Sampson-Yunhe Zhang, Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship runner-up, and Max Kennedy.
