Gary McCord’s quirky personality made him a popular broadcaster at CBS. He spoke with Barstool Sports last week on the “Foreplay podcast”.
McCord also appeared in “Tin Cup,” and shared a fascinating story. McCord was not the most successful Tour player, but he decided to break one record.
McCord led the Tour in putting going into the event. McCord decided to miss all regulation greens in order to keep his lead in this category.
McCord stated that McCord knew then that his career was in shambles and that it wasn’t going anywhere. “So, I knew that this was the only thing that literally I was going win.”
McCord won the putting title with 28.57 puts per round because of McCord’s “performance”.
