It’s safe for us to say, at the beginning of the 2023 LPGA season, that very few people would have put this player on the shortlist in the LPGA Player Of The Year discussion.
After winning the LET in Saudi Arabia, Lydia Ko seemed to be primed for a new show at the start of 2023. Nelly Korda was victorious late in 2022, after a year of injuries. Was she going to continue the same thing she did in 2021 or not?

Ko and Korda, however, were both among the LPGA’s winless this season. Three new players emerged as heavyweights.
