There are no surprises in the first Golfweek/Sagarin College Teams Rankings. The top men’s team and the top women’s team are both right at the top.
North Carolina, who lost in the semi-finals of the NCAA Championships 2023 in May, will begin the new season in the No. 1 spot.
The Stanford Cardinal is the best team in women’s basketball. They also reached the finals last spring, but were knocked out.
The Golfweek/Sagarin ranking was released on September 28. It will be updated each Friday during the season.
Florida, the defending men’s champion, is No. 16.

David Ford, Maxwell Ford Austin Greaser Dylan Menante Kenan Poole are the stars of North Carolina’s team. The Tar Heels have already won their very first tournament. They took first place in the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational.
Wake Forest, the winner of all three titles in last year’s women’s rankings, is ranked No. 2 this season. This year, Wake Forest is ranked No. 2.

Stanford’s season has begun with a victory in the 2023 Carmel Cup, with Megha gaining the individual title. Rachel Heck, Kelly Xu and Paula Martin Sampedro are also on the Cardinal roster. Sadie Engleman, Caroline Sturdza, Sadie Engleman, and Kelly Xu make up the Cardinal roster.
The first three years of a commitment will see the championships held in Carlsbad at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. Grayhawk Golf Club, in Scottsdale, Arizona hosted the championships for the last three years, with the exception of 2020 when they were cancelled due to COVID.
