Paako Ridge was designed by Ken Dye and expanded to 27 holes in 2005. It is currently rated the best public-access course in New Mexico by Golfweek. This gives players the chance to drive long distances across high desert terrain.
This is a good thing because, even though Paako Ridge sits at 6,500 feet elevation, the main 18-hole layout can be extended to 7,562 yards. And besides being No. Paako Ridge is also No. 126 for all courses constructed in the U.S.A since 1960.
Golfweek’s Top offers many courses rankings. The top public-access golf courses in each state is the most popular. This list includes all courses that allow public access. There’s always a time for everyone.
