It’s a popular song, “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina.” But the group of Golfweek’s Best players on their first trip to South America didn’t shed a tear.
The 12-day trip in Argentina, which took place in March, was a wonderful experience for 26 reviewers. They enjoyed the sights, delicious food, scenic tours, and golf.
The time zone in South America is not much different than the one in the United States, so a 12-hour flight to Argentina will leave you jet-lagged and bleary. The course reviewers were able to hit the ground running.
Upon arrival in Buenos Aires raters are shuttled to the hotel they have chosen for the first part of their trip. The first thing to do was take a walking tour and enjoy the sights of “Paris of Latin America”.
Some raters went on half-day excursions to Tigre to enjoy antique shops, riverside bars and restaurants, amusement parks, and open markets. They also practiced their bargaining skills. After dinner, the golfers were ready to start their first round.
