After the PGA Tour has completed its two annual stops at Hawaii, the focus now shifts to the five-event West Coast Swing in California or Arizona.
This week’s tee-off will be at The American Express in La Quinta in California. The Farmers Insurance Open follows on from the Farmers Insurance Open at two San Diego courses. The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is held at three Pebble Beach courses. The WM Phoenix Open in Arizona, the Genesis Invitational in Pacific Palisades in California and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am are also available.
There are 10 courses total, but which ones are the best in the West? For some insight, we can use Golfweek’s Best ratings for thousands of courses across the U.S.
Our course-ratings panel of hundreds continuously evaluates courses and rates them according to our 10 criteria. Each course is also given a single overall rating. These overall ratings are added together to create a cumulative rating. Each course is then ranked against each other.
Here are the top five courses of the West Coast Swing, with information about their location, year of opening and designer.
