GolfWRX Spotted Costco Kirkland Signature Irons on the USGA Conforming List

Jan, 2023

Costco continues to expand its Kirkland Signature line with new irons recently seen on the USGA conforming List.

Costco has previously made balls, wedges, and a putter. The new Kirkland Signature (Version 2) irons demonstrate that Costco is taking the game to the next level with golf equipment.

It is interesting to note that the listing says the irons were manufactured by Indi Golf. They have their own line (both conforming, and non-conforming), as well as putters.

The irons appear to have a hollow body construction, and seem less of a game improvement iron than most would have expected.

Our members have been discussing the Kirkland Signature irons in our forums and have been sharing their opinions, not only with the similarities in looks, but also with TaylorMade’s P790 irons.

These are just a few of the posts in the thread. But, make sure you check out the whole discussion and leave your thoughts at the link below.

  • st1800e : “Interesting that they went for a player’s distance iron and not an ultra or super game improvement iron.”

  • Klubster: “Logo aside. If they perform well they will sell. The vanity factor will make the logo seem sexy to many people. I’d rather have an exclusive brand, like Dick’s with the Tommy Armour 845s. They wouldn’t have sold as well if they stamped Dick’s on their back span>

  • naj959 : “I’m excited by these clubs. These clubs would be the perfect set to my parents, who haven’t been to a club in over 10 years and want to get some new tech. He loves Costco! K-Sig is highly regarded by the members. These are in the bags of many casual golfers. If they’re lefty, I can tell what someone is getting for their birthday .”

  • FormerBigDaddy: “Not going to lie, they look great. They might be even more successful if the logo and stamping were changed on their golf equipment. The hosel could have a minimalist “KS” stamp, or perhaps “Kirkland”, like Taylormade does. And the “Signature” cursive script might be a little slick. They could really make a splash in the golf market if they created a quality product at a reasonable price that didn’t shout Costco branding. We all know that we pay way too much for the golf clubs we buy. They’d sell many of these .”
