Sargent can accept PGA Tour membership upon turning professional after the 2024 NCAA National Championship at Carlsbad in California. Sargent would then be eligible to play in open full-field events, including the FedEx Cup fall, for the rest of the 2024 golf season. He would also be a Tour Member for the 2025 golf season.

PGA Tour Accelerated program, announced in November 20,22, is a way to give high-achieving juniors and sophomores – or freshmen if they are a freshman – PGA Tour membership. The points are based on the accomplishments of players in amateur, professional and college golf. A player who has earned at least 20 points in their third year NCAA eligibility is eligible to join the Tour.

Sargent is currently ranked second in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. How did he earn his 20 points?
