SCOTTSDALE (Ariz.) — For junior Gregory Solhaug, it was a frightening situation.

He competed Saturday morning at Grayhawk Golf Club during the second round 2023 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship. Solhaug was standing on a golf tee when he stepped on it. The tee went through his shoe, causing him to injure his foot. He had to leave the course, and withdraw from this tournament.

Oregon will be able to replace another player in their team’s lineup for the subsequent rounds, if they choose to do so.
