Happy Gilmore, a Bloomington South junior, was destined for success on the golf course.
It’s true. On Wednesday, he also signed his National Letter of Intent for Division I college golf with Ball State.
Landon is his real name, but when he began playing golf at the age of 6, he adopted “Happy” as his nickname.
Gilmore, a junior at Prairie View Golf Club, finished in the top seven at the Indiana state high school golf tournament held in June. He shot even par for 36 holes. He had won his regional at Country Oaks, Montgomery the week prior.
Even Shooter McGavin, who is rumored to be worried about Happy’s arrival on the Tour.
Signed
