After the first session, Team Europe has a commanding lead of 4-0.

How did the Euros turn things around after such a bad start last week?

Adam Woodward, Charley Hull’s caddie, was lauded by Dame Laura Davies earlier this week on Golf Channel.

Woodward, in the European team’s room after the morning thrashing, played two songs simultaneously: “Staying Alive”, by the Bee Gees; and “Things Can Only Get Better”, by Howard Jones.

The mood in the European teamroom was very low as players started to arrive. Adam Davies did a clever thing and played two songs. Everyone was laughing and going out in the afternoon, knowing that we had work ahead of us. But that team spirit sent everyone out in a slightly more positive mood than they were when they arrived.
