How to watch the 2023 Fortinet Championship on Thursday at Silverado Resort

The PGA Tour returns to action after a two week hiatus with the inaugural event of the revamped FedEx Cup fall series.

Max Homa will be aiming to become one of the few players to achieve a three-peat on a PGA Tour. The North Course at Silverado Resort will be a completely different experience for players this year. The resort has decided to alter the routing to create more exciting finishes.

Homa, Ryder Cup teammate Justin Thomas and other notable players are highlighted in this week’s field which will be largely composed of players who did not qualify for the FedEx Playoffs last season (Nos. The top 71 players in the standings. Players will compete to stay in the top-125 for the new 2024 schedule, from the Fortinet Classic to the RSM Classic on Nov. 16-19.

The top 50 finishers in the FedExCup standings have already secured their PGA Tour cards for next season, but still have something to compete for: Nos. Those who finished Nos. The top 51-60 players in the FedExCup standings following the RSM Classic qualify for the two Signature Events that follow the 2024 Sentry event in Hawaii.

FedEx Cup Fall winners still receive the same benefits they would have received if they had won a regular season event, such as a two-year exclusion, coveted spots in major championships, Sentry, Players, and the Players Championship, plus 500 FedEx Cup Points.
