Lydia Ko and Jason Day are two shots ahead of Nelly Korda/Tony Finau, and Leona McGuire/Lucas Glover with 18 holes remaining in the inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational, which is being held at Tiburon golf club, Naples, Florida.
Ko/Day scored a 6-under-66 on Saturday in the alternate shot format.
On Sunday, there will be a new format, “modified fourball”, where both players will hit a tee-shot, and then swap balls for their second shot. The players then have to play the second shot until they finish the hole. The team will be determined by the score of the lower two balls.
