The first 36 holes of The Country Club of Jackson’s 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi have been completed and one man has the lead for the second day.
Ben Griffin is the only player on top of the leaderboard with 14 under after shooting an impressive 9-under 63 in Friday’s afternoon round. Four players tied for second at 12 under are two shots behind, and four more players tied for sixth place at 11 under.
Eight notable golfers missed the cut including Mackenzie Hughes, the defending champion. Joel Dahmen, a fan favorite, is 8-under after 36 holes. His caddie took over the microphone and reported on course after Friday’s round.
