The last time Chris Kirk performed in The Sentry, it was 2016.
Kirk earned his place back in the field by winning the Honda Classic last spring. After eight years, he can win the race.
Kirk is leading at 21-under-198 after three round at The Sentry on Kapalua Plantation Course, Hawaii. Kirk shot a 7-under-66 on Saturday, and he has a 1-shot lead over Akshay Bhattia (20 years old) with 18 holes left. Three players are at 19-under, including Jordan Spieth (2016 champion) and Xander Schwieffele.
Kapalua’s Plantation Course is ranked No. Golfweek’s Best list for public-access courses is ranked No. 2 in Hawaii. It also ranks No. 39th on Golfweek’s Best list for modern courses within the U.S.
