There are many golfers who will be in contention for the weekend after 36 holes of Hawaii.
After the first two days, the 2024 Sony Open has concluded in Hawaii. There is a tie at the top of the leaderboard. Carl Yuan is tied with Austin Eckroat, Byeong Hun An and Byeong Hun, all of whom are searching for their very first PGA Tour win. They are at 9-under 131. Chris Kirk, winner of The Sentry last week, is one shot behind at 8 under. Stewart Cink and Keith Mitchell are also in that group.
Eighty-two golfers, who scored at 2-under 132, made the cut.
This week’s purse is $8.3 millions, with $1.494 to be awarded to the winner of the 144-man field.
